Power Out to 18,000 Wisconsin Public Service Customers
Green Bay, WI – High winds and heavy rains have resulted in power outages to about 18,000 Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) customers, near Wabeno, Crivitz, Marinette, Menominee, Rhinelander, Sturgeon Bay, Wabeno and Wausaukee. The outages are the result of gusty winds, heavy rains and tree branches/limbs on power lines.
As of 8:50 PM the largest power outages were located in the areas of:
- Marinette/Menominee
- Door County
- Rhinelander
- Wabeno
- Wausaukee
- Crivitz
WPS has called in line crews to assist these areas with electricity restoration. At this time no restoration times are available.
Customers who can access the Internet can visit the WPS Web site www.wisconsinpublicservice.com, to view outage information.
After Storm Safety
Consider all downed power lines and anything touching them energized and DANGEROUS! Stay away from them and report the problem to WPS.
